Notes

  1. Hyde Field in Clinton, Md. was built by and belonged to him.
  2. Bibb was a former Army General.
  3. Patterson went from a Squadron Commander to Wing Commander, and continued on as Middle East Region and National Commander. He had been a Lieutenant Colonel in the Air Force.
  4. Hill helped get the CAP supply bill adopted.
  5. Welk was a frogman in Word War II.
  6. Parks’ first airplane flight was in a CAP aircraft, at Westminster.
  7. Trick was the first former cadet (and Spaatz cadet) to become a Maryland Wing Commander.
  8. Walling was the first female Maryland Wing Commander and continued on as Middle East Region Commander.
  9. Kilgallon was the first cadet (and Spaatz cadet) from Maryland Wing to become Wing Commander. At the time he served as Maryland Wing Commander he was also an active duty Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army.
  10. Weiss was a former Army Lieutenant Colonel.
