2009 Maryland Wing Conference & Military Ball

This year's Maryland Wing Annual Conference and Military Ball will be held at the Hilton Rockville Hotel & Executive Meeting Center, 1750 Rockville Pike, Rockville, Md.

Hotel Information

  • Officers should contact the Hilton directly at 1-800-HILTONS (445-8667) or visit our personalized page at http://www.hilton.com/en/hi/groups/personalized/IADMRHF-CVI-20091030/index.jhtml for hotel reservations at $89.00/night for Single or Double, plus 13% tax. Please make sure you mention Maryland Wing Civil Air Patrol to receive the discounted rate. To receive the discounted rate, rooms must be reserved by 9 October 2009.
  • Cadets can register using an all-inclusive package that includes hotel accommodations on Friday and Saturday (based on four cadets to a room), all workshops, Friday night cadet activity, Saturday breakfast, awards luncheon, and Military Ball. The cost per cadet is $130.
  • Cadets (unless staying with parents) must book their rooms through the MDWG Conference staff. Conference staff will book up to 4 cadets per room and rate is based on number of cadets per room. Cadets may request a single room or a room with 2, 3 or 4 cadets. To receive discounted rate, rooms must be booked received by 9 October 2009

Other registration options are available for partial day, no meals, or additional Military Ball guests (see registration form for details).

Conference Highlights

  • Annual Awards Luncheon:  Presentation of Maryland Wing's annual 'of the year' awards.
  • Training Sessions:  more than 15 training sessions to learn more about CAP and its missions
  • Military Ball: This year we will feature our Military Ball on Saturday evening, including dinner and dancing, along with special guests and awards presentations.
  • Cadet Conference: We will once again hold a full-day Cadet Conference. New and veteran cadets are encouraged to attend.
  • Inspector General Basic Course:  Offered in two parts: first half on Friday evening and second half on Sunday morning
  • Cadet Masquerade Ball on Friday evening is a cadet-only activity. Get your costume ready and come have a good time during an evening of music, dancing, and hanging out with friends.
  • Senior Hospitality Suite will be open on Friday night.  Come early and enjoy a relaxed get together.
